Women Mean Business!

I had the opportunity to sit with Cynthia Heathcoe, Nicole Rymer, and CaraJoy Nash from the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. They have a series called “Women Mean Business” that aired through Facebook. LINK

We talked about a lot of things. The Philadelphia Eagles, Cynthia’s amazing design studio filled with gorgeous furnishings, and starting a business. We spent some time talking about hitting bumps along the way, as everyone does, and it was during this dialogue that I realized how very lucky I am.

See I am not someone who hits a snag and dwells on it. I don’t labor over it. I don’t let it stop me. I see it as an obstacle that I need to move around (or over, under, through, etc.). I have this image in my minds eye of where I want to be or what I want to do, and I keep going at it. No matter what.

Sure there is a mindset that supports this ability. Confidence has to be abundant. There is also skill. It’s called pivoting, and there is great power in the ability to pivot. Being able to swivel on your heels around an obstacle and continue moving forward feels really awesome. Do this long enough it becomes second nature. Then couple it with the ability to organize and plan - now we’re talking!

Cynthia and Nicole both know what pivoting means, and have put that into practice long before it was a known skill. Thank you ladies for hosting me :)
